    No lanolin, the wool grease that bothers sensitive skin, and fine enough not to prickle.

    Holds about 8% of its weight in water, against up to 30% for merino, so it stays light and dry.

What size should I buy?

Most of our sweaters run true to size, and every product page has a size chart. Gifts bought Nov 15–Dec 15 can be returned or exchanged through Jan 15.

Will it itch?

Almost never. Alpaca has no lanolin, the wool grease that bothers sensitive skin, and baby alpaca measures under 23 microns, well below the roughly 30 microns where fibers start to prickle. More on alpaca and itch.

Can they return or exchange it?

Yes. Gifts bought Nov 15–Dec 15 can be returned or exchanged through Jan 15.

How does the free gift box work?

When your order is $150 or more after discounts, shipping is free and we add a gift box at checkout. Under $150, shipping is a flat $9.95.

When do I need to order by?

Order by Dec 17 for standard shipping and Dec 22 for expedited shipping.

How do I wash alpaca?

Hand wash knits in cold water with a mild wool wash and lay them flat to dry. Never use the dryer. Woven throws are dry clean only. Every product page lists its care, and our sweater care guide has the details.
