Alpaca wool, an hypoallergenic and antimicrobial fiber, is at the core, however we upped the ratio of micro-nylon to alpaca fibers so that they are even more more durable and flexible. With a mesh instep which sits on top of the foot, as well as underfoot ventilation, they are especially suited to Summer wear, but still out perform in all seasons.
Think of alpaca as the worlds finest insulation (the new foam kind not the pink fiberglass stuff of days gone by). Filled with microscopic air pockets, it cocoons feet, protecting them from heat and cold regardless of the season, while wicking moisture. It also reduces friction which adds to heat build up. This reduction in friction also protects feet from blisters and callus build up. Add into the mix lush padding and well, we think its technical sock nirvana.
