Cozy, all-natural alpaca wool keeps feet insulated and thermally regulated and does so better than any other textile, wool, cotton or man made. This means feet stay warm and dry without overheating - all day long - even on cold, rainy, wet days. Because of these unique thermal properties, we can make standard weight socks that are far warmer and much cozier than comparable merino, or other materials.
Alpaca is far softer, stronger, warmer, and holds 28% less moisture than merino wool, while reducing bacteria and eliminating cold clammy feet; eliminating odor too so the only thing you smell is the aroma of fall.
Alpaca stays cleaner longer! These socks are designed to be worn multiple times between washes - 3-4 times at least. We suggest laying flat to dry as tumbling them will pull out the alpaca wool and reduce their life span. Because alpaca holds so little moisture these socks will dry fast. If tumbled, please avoid heat to minimize potential shrinkage.
Don't be confused by content! More alpaca isn't always better. The content must fit the use of the socks. Many components have to be weighed in order to compose the finest alpaca socks.
