Hand knit socks are OH just so cozy and these are one step better because they are made from 100% pure dye-free alpaca. These socks contain no acrylic, no cotton and are sheep's wool free; just 100% natural alpaca, pure and delightful.
Alpaca socks are a warmer, softer alternative to sheep’s wool for keeping feet cozy. Lanolin free, these socks are hypoallergenic, and are a natural sock alternative for those who have wool allergies. Since they have no acrylic they will perform much like wool socks, yet offer more breathable warmth.
On a personal note, we prefer wearing these 100% alpaca socks with Ugg boots and other fleece lined shoes, as well as slippers. They keep feet warmer, without the dampness created by natural foot perspiration inside wool-lined shoes.

NOTE - 100% pure alpaca socks are not designed for heavy wear. Wearing them on hard floors without shoes will cause them to wear out sooner than they should. 100% Alpaca wool, like 100% Sheep's wool will shrink and even felt if they are over agitated, if warm to hot water is used and or if they are tumble dried used during the cleaning process. This is the nature of woolens. Care: Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent. Lay flat to dry. Do not bleach. Do not agitate. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry in the sun.
Due to the nature of alpaca wool, less cleaning is needed. We recommend washing only after 5+ wearings.

This product is certified authentic by the IAA to protect consumers from counterfeits in the marketplace. Look for the IAA certification tag on alpaca goods you purchase from any retailer.
