Inca Fashions began in 1999 as the dream of one alpaca breeder, K. Devos, and was created to bring awareness to Alpacas and their luxurious fiber through the sale of gorgeous Alpaca garments and related products. Since then her interest in alpaca fiber has grown to be a full time passion, and Inca Fashions into a retail/wholesale endeavor.

In 2000 she produced the first fashion show for the MAPACA Jubilee incorporating the top producers of alpaca clothing so as to provide a resource for others to establish farm stores with dynamic appeal. In 2001 DeVos began serving on the AOBA Marketing Committee, initiating & chairing the “Complete the Circle” Campaign focusing on educating AOBA members on the benefits of farm stores and alpaca fashion sales. In 2003 & 2004 she served as the volunteer chair of the Fiber to Fashion Winter Nationals held in Las Vegas and Reno respectively. Appointed to the AOBA Fiber Task Force in 2002 she was asked to serve as the Chair for the Raw Fiber and Fiber Products Committee for AOBA upon the completion of the Task Force’s objectives.

For her work within the alpaca community she was presented with the “Shining Star Award” for outstanding volunteer efforts at the 2004 AOBA National Conference.

In addition to designing the apparel she showcases, DeVos is an active participant in her industry, currently attending several shows each year providing retail/wholesale apparel and partners with other farms to bring apparel to their shows as well. She operates her own online Internet store as well as an online Wholesale store to support farms and provide alpaca to large retail concerns. These practices, which she continues today, let her to be awarded with the 2003 AOBA Retailer of the Year award.

As the owner and operator of Creekside Breeders established in 1997, now know as Elite Alpacas, DeVos continues to own alpacas. She has actively participated in shows and fleece competitions in the eastern part of the US. and is active in many different alpaca enterprises. DeVos served on the MAPACA Board from 2002 until 2004, the AFCNA BOD (Alpaca Fiber Co-Op / America's Alpacas) in 2003 and currently is a serving a three year term with the AOBA Board of Directors (Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association).

DeVos’s goal is to educate and share her enthusiasm for alpacas and fiber with others, both within and outside of the alpaca industry. She feels that it is important to lead by example and is ready and willing to share her business and marketing ideas that have helped her grow her business. By sharing this information, it is her goal to help build an economically strong alpaca industry with longevity and a better understanding by all peoples of alpaca.

Inca Fashions is now a “Farm Partner” site giving alpaca farms another forum for bringing fiber products to their customers.

The farms participating in Inca Fashions Partner Program are family owned and operated businesses, some are partnered business ventures, some retirement projects.
